Almost 1 year ago I did a newborn session with little Thijm. He had a difficult start, but you wouldn’t know if nobody told you. In the months that followed I kept in touch with his mom Liseth and nowadays we speak to each other on a regular basis, also about business. If you book a birth session you will receive (after you had your baby) a beautiful birth painting that Liseth makes and she helps me with making albums.

When Liseth had seen photos on my website she thought; that’s what I want to do with Thijm for his birthday. Baby photography: a baby session! So we planned a date in September. After a week of the most gorgeous weather ever, it was of course the worst weather ever on the day we planned the session. Rain, rain and rain. So we postponed a week. The day before we checked the weather forecast and it looked good! On paper… The day itself it was cold and misty. We discussed what to do, but decided to do it any way, because there weren’t a lot of more options and you never know, maybe it would get worse and worse.

By the time Liseth and Peter arrived in Zeeland, it drizzled, or was it the mist? Anyway, Thijm was the ray of sunshine 🙂 He liked everything and everything was fine, such a sweet little man! Styling you can leave to his mom, so even though the weather was not perfect it was a superb photo session! The scarf and head where just for fun, because it was not that cold, but it shows you how awesome a photo session can be in the winter!
