Since the blogs keep coming and coming, and I would like to continue a little more in the present, there will be a new blog online EVERY DAY in the Christmas holiday. That means from December 22nd till January 4th. From January 5th and on it will be back to “normal”, 3 times a week.

Stop smoking
I never thought I’d get to write this blog. Just before we went on holiday I suddenly had had enough of the disgusting, stinky cigarettes. In my anger I told Denny, “If I’m going to be injected with all that rubbish soon, then you have to stop smoking!” This usually has no effect, but suddenly he says, “I’ve been thinking about it a lot, and I think you’re right. I’m going to stop smoking.”
Huh? Really?!
I can’t believe it, and soon I’m thinking, “Uh huh, you’re just saying that. I’ll believe it when I see it.”
In the summer we’re going away with the children for a week, and that seems to me like the ideal moment to stop. I vote for before the holiday. Denny chooses after. Oh well, one more holiday with the disgusting smell of cigarettes.
The whole holiday I’m expecting him to find an excuse to not do it, but then it’s the last day of the holiday, and his packet of cigarettes is nearly finished, when at 15:00 he says, “This is my last cigarette.” I still can’t believe it.

PS. Fyi: Up until today he still hasn’t smoked again, and you know he hasn’t even found it difficult. From a pack a day to nothing. I am so proud of him, and so, so happy!
